RECORD AUCTION AND GOING GREEN

Damp weather in Child Oxeford on Saturday 25th June did not deter bargain hunters and dealers who thronged the village hall in search of a bargain at the 2011 Friends Auction. Richard Kay auctioneer from Lawrences had generously donated his time and expertise and opened proceeding at 9.45. Bidding was competitive and brisk and well over 200 lots were eagerly snapped up. Thanks to the generosity of donors and support from members of the Friends who donate their time a total of over £8,300 was raised, a substantial proportion of which will be of direct help to the Hospital, patients and the community.
